The objective is to run a ball activated frac sleeve in a cemented lateral. The operator wanted the benefits of a cemented lateral combined with the benefits of a ball activated frac sleeve completion.
The TEAM Oil Tools T-Frac System™ which includes the T-Port Ball Sleeve, ORIO™ toe valve, and wiper plug system were chosen as they are designed to work in a cemented environment and provide the complete system for the completion. The ORIO™ toe valve allows for high surface casing tests and a reliable means of establishing an injection point at the toe. The T-Port Ball sleeves were chosen as they are specifically designed to work in a cemented environment and offer a reliable exit point for the frac. The wiper plug system was chosen because it is specifically designed to wipe both the casing and pass through the frac sleeves.
The TEAM Oil Tool’s T-Frac system performed flawlessly. The lateral was successfully cemented in place and wiped clean with the TEAM Oil Tool wiping system. After a successful 9,000 psi casing test, the ORIO toe valve was opened with an initial injection rate of 15 bpm. The five stage frac job was later successfully executed with all proprietary frac balls landing and opening the valves as predicted.
